Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has affirmed the government’s dedication to supporting international investors, particularly in the Information Technology sector. In a meeting with Kaan Terzioglu, CEO of the global digital operator VEON Group, the Prime Minister emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to transparency and digitalization in the economic sector.
According to Radio Pakistan, Sharif highlighted the coordination among relevant departments to enhance internet services following the 5G spectrum auction. This initiative aims to attract international investors by leveraging the interest of Pakistan’s youth in telecommunications and information technology.
Terzioglu commended the government’s efforts towards achieving a cashless and fully digital economy, expressing VEON Group’s intent to increase its investment in Pakistan.
