Islamabad: Following directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, extensive search operations were conducted in the federal capital to curb criminal activities and enhance security. The operations led to the checking of 767 individuals, alongside numerous residences, businesses, and vehicles.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were carried out under the supervision of zonal SPs across multiple police station jurisdictions. A total of 333 houses, 149 shops, 32 hotels, 241 motorcycles, and 80 vehicles were thoroughly inspected, resulting in the detention of 64 suspicious individuals and 36 motorcycles for further legal proceedings.
SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, stated that the primary aim of these operations is to strengthen the security framework and tighten measures against criminal elements. The police plan to continue their actions against criminals, land grabbers, and drug traffickers. The SSP also encouraged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement and report any suspicious activities promptly through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15”.
