ISLAMABAD: A recent operation by the Islamabad Police has resulted in the arrest of 56 individuals linked to various criminal activities and the recovery of drugs and weapons. The coordinated effort across multiple police stations underscores ongoing efforts to maintain public order in the region.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operation involved teams from the Industrial Area, Sabzi Mandi, Noon, Kirpa, and Lohi Bher police stations. These teams apprehended 10 suspects and seized 220 grams of heroin and eight pistols with ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated against those arrested, and investigations are underway to determine further details.

In addition to these arrests, a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders led to the capture of 46 more individuals. This initiative is part of a broader directive by IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to curb crime and enhance security across the federal capital.

Qazi Ali Raza, SSP Operations Islamabad, emphasized the police force’s dedication to safeguarding the community. He reassured residents of the ongoing commitment to ensuring their safety and urged them to report suspicious activities through designated channels, including the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” to aid in crime prevention efforts.
