Islamabad: On National Minorities Day, First Lady Bibi Asifa Bhutto Zardari emphasized the crucial role that minority communities play in Pakistan’s development and reiterated the commitment to equal rights for all citizens. She highlighted the contributions of minorities in various sectors and called for continued efforts to uphold equality and inclusion across the nation.

According to Press Information Department, the First Lady’s message underscored the significance of recognizing the valuable contributions of minority communities in fields such as education, healthcare, law, public service, business, the armed forces, arts, and sports. She stressed that these achievements are integral to Pakistan’s narrative of progress and development.

The First Lady asserted that equality should be evident in the rights and opportunities available to every citizen, with laws protecting all individuals equally. She advocated for full participation of every Pakistani in the social, economic, and civic life of the country, free from discrimination based on religion.
