Finance Minister Stresses Government-Private Sector Collaboration to Boost Economic Growth

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has underscored the need for ongoing collaboration between the government and the private sector to identify growth opportunities and address areas in need of improvement. During discussions with Ziad Bashir, the newly elected Chairman of the Pakistan Business Council, and its Chief Executive Officer, Javed Kureishi, Aurangzeb emphasized the importance of aligning Pakistan’s policies with global practices.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister highlighted the potential for mobilizing international financing and investment through institutions such as the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and the U.S. Export-Import Bank. He stressed the necessity of presenting commercially viable and investment-ready projects to attract investors and financing institutions.

In their response, Ziad Bashir and Javed Kureishi expressed appreciation for the government’s engagement with the business community and endorsed the direction of ongoing economic and fiscal reforms.
