Finance Minister Chairs Meeting on State-Owned Enterprises


Islamabad: The Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises (CCoSOEs) convened a meeting at the Finance Division under the leadership of Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue. The meeting focused on key appointments within state-owned enterprises in the petroleum sector.



According to Press Information Department, the Committee approved a proposal from the Petroleum Division concerning the appointment of an Independent Director to the Board of Directors of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL). This nomination was made to fill a vacant position in line with the State-Owned Enterprise Policy, 2023.



In addition, the Committee reviewed another proposal from the Petroleum Division regarding the establishment of the Board of Directors for Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL). The Committee gave its approval for the proposed nominations to fill three positions of Independent Directors.
