Emergency Response Committee Assesses Monsoon Situation in Pakistan


ISLAMABAD: The Emergency Response Committee convened its 13th meeting in Islamabad to evaluate the current monsoon conditions affecting Pakistan. Chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, the meeting focused on reviewing the hydrological conditions, weather outlook, and the preparedness of emergency response arrangements throughout the country.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Committee highlighted the significance of taking proactive measures at the district level to minimize the potential risks and ensure the safety of communities that are most vulnerable to monsoon-related hazards. Federal Minister Iqbal underscored the necessity for all relevant departments and response agencies to maintain close coordination. He stressed that timely implementation of preparedness and response measures is crucial to effectively manage the challenges posed by the monsoon season.
