Peshawar, Faisal Khan Turkai, the Minister for Education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, outlined a balanced Annual Development Plan (ADP) for the year, with substantial funding earmarked for both ongoing and new educational projects across the province.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Minister Turkai highlighted the progress of 107 ongoing projects with 90 nearing completion. These projects span across various districts and include the construction of schools, upgradation of facilities, and the establishment of model schools and specialized labs. The ADP also introduces initiatives such as the establishment of schools in rented buildings, conversion of Maktab schools, and the introduction of double shift schools. Furthermore, the plan addresses the development needs of tribal districts with the creation of District Education Offices and provisions for female officers’ accommodation. Minister Turkai urged officials to ensure timely completion of these projects to boost educational development and literacy in the region.
