Islamabad: General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), chaired the 265th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at the General Headquarters (GHQ), where key security issues and national counter-terrorism strategies were discussed.
According to Inter Services Public Relations, the forum paid tribute to the martyrs of the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians who sacrificed their lives for the country’s peace and stability. The conference also addressed the internal and external security situation of Pakistan, focusing on the initiative “Azm-e-Istehkam,” aimed at enhancing counter-terrorism efforts to ensure long-term stability and economic prosperity.
The discussions included concerns over unwarranted criticism and misrepresentation of the military’s vision by certain elements for their interests. The conference also reviewed the regional security dynamics, particularly concerning Afghanistan, and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace.
Additionally, the forum expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir and Palestine, condemning the human rights violations occurring in these regions. The military leadership affirmed its readiness to confront all challenges and maintain its constitutional responsibilities with the support of Pakistan’s citizens.
The forum emphasized the importance of combating politically motivated digital terrorism that targets state institutions, intending to demoralize the nation and create discord. It also reiterated its commitment to supporting socio-economic development and assisting the government in eliminating illegal activities that undermine economic growth.
COAS General Munir stressed the need for maintaining high professional standards and operational readiness, concluding that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to tackle all challenges and contribute to the nation’s stability and prosperity.
