Lahore, August 17, 2023 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Metro Bus and Orange Line Metro Train for 3 and a half hours today. Mohsin Naqvi traveled in Metro Bus and Orange Line Metro Train and inquired about the travel facilities from passengers. Mohsin Naqvi from Kachheri Station. Boarding the metro bus, the Chief Minister bought his own token and that of his staff and traveled to the funeral station. The air conditioners of the metro buses were bad, the passengers were in a bad condition due to extreme heat and humidity. The passengers complained that the metro buses AC is broken since 6 months. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed to make AC of metro buses functional soon. Mohsin Naqvi said that male and female students will be able to travel in metrobus and orange line train for free.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed the Transport Secretary to send a summary in this regard. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi inspected the arrangements and facilities at Metrobus and Orange Line Metrotrain stations. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi inquired about the travel facilities from the passengers in the bus. Mohsin Naqvi visited Anarkali station of Lahore Orange Line metro train, washrooms were closed, water was missing, token machines were broken and there were long queues of passengers. Mohsin Naqvi visited the stations. Expressed displeasure over insufficient facilities. The Chief Minister summoned the Transport Secretary immediately. Mohsin Naqvi bought tokens for himself and his staff and boarded the train.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi traveled from Anarkali station to Ali Town and checked the token machine and other facilities at the station. There were long queues of passengers at Ali Town station as well. Passengers piled up their complaints. Mohsin Naqvi directed to provide the facility of online or credit card charging to Metro Card. Mohsin Naqvi interacted with the passengers during the journey and inquired about the travel facilities. Complaints about rooms being closed. Mohsin Naqvi also traveled back from Ali Town to Lakshmi Chowk on the Orange Line Metro Train. To go to Laxmi Chowk, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi bought tokens for himself and his staff and boarded. Effective to end the rush at the token counter for passengers.
Actions were ordered. He directed to increase travel facilities for women in the Orange Line Metro Train. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi went to shake hands with elderly passengers on the seats and also inquired about the travel facilities from women. Earlier, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi Visited the registry branch in DC office Lahore, the staff of the registry branch was absent and the chairs were empty. The Chief Minister checked the attendance of the staff and listened to the problems of the citizens in the Registrar’s Office. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed his displeasure over the absence of staff at the Sub-Registrar Dataganj Bakhsh Town Office.
The Sub-Registrar also reached the office after the arrival of Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi. During the visit of the Prime Minister, other staff also reached the office. Prime Minister Mohsin Naqvi ordered the staff to observe office hours. did Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the delivery of registry documents to the citizens should be ensured within 24 hours and ordered the staff to be present in the office during office hours.
