Committee to Expedite Auto Policy Draft Finalization with Daily Meetings


Islamabad: A committee focused on the Auto and Auto Parts Manufacturing Policy 2026-31, led by Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, has resolved to conduct daily meetings to accelerate the finalization of the policy draft.



According to Press Information Department, the committee convened at the Ministry of Law and Justice under the guidance of Minister Tarar, following directives from the Prime Minister. The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan, alongside representatives from pertinent federal ministries, divisions, and organizations.



The committee engaged in an extensive discourse on the draft Auto Policy, agreeing to perform a thorough review of all critical aspects before finalizing the policy. It was decided that each clause would be scrutinized to address concerns raised by ministries and relevant organizations. Additionally, the committee consented to evaluate the final draft from legal, financial, and administrative angles.



The meeting also considered suggestions and recommendations from stakeholders, with the committee affirming that the policy would remain in alignment with the priorities set by the Prime Minister.
