RAWALPINDI: The Syrian Foreign Minister, Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi to discuss defense cooperation and regional security.
According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions centered on mutual interests, the regional security environment, and opportunities to enhance bilateral defense and security collaboration. The Pakistani military leadership emphasized the historical ties between Pakistan and Syria, sharing insights on global peace and regional stability, and stressed the need for cooperation to address shared security challenges.
The Syrian delegation expressed appreciation for the role of Pakistan’s armed forces in promoting regional peace and stability. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding defense and security engagements.
