Bahrain’s National Guard Chief Commends Pakistan’s Armed Forces for Regional Peace Efforts


RAWALPINDI: The Commander of the Bahrain National Guard, General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, met with Pakistan’s top military officials on a visit to Rawalpindi, emphasizing bilateral defense ties and regional security. During his visit, General Al Khalifa held discussions with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, focusing on mutual interests and potential areas for increased defense cooperation.



According to Radio Pakistan, both officials expressed satisfaction with the enduring brotherly relations between Pakistan and Bahrain. The discussions underscored the significance of strengthening military-to-military collaboration. General Al Khalifa also met with Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, where discussions centered on maritime security and air defense.



At Naval Headquarters, the Bahraini commander lauded the Pakistan Navy’s role in promoting cooperative maritime security, acknowledging its contribution as a stabilizing force in the region. Meanwhile, the meeting at Air Headquarters highlighted Pakistan Air Force’s modernization efforts. Discussions included emerging defense technologies such as drones and artificial intelligence, alongside air defense challenges and integrated defense architectures.



General Al Khalifa praised the operational readiness and modernization initiatives of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, expressing interest in further cooperation in training and capacity-building initiatives. The visit concluded with both sides reiterating their commitment to fostering regional peace and stability through strengthened defense ties.
