ISLAMABAD: Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani emphasized the need for a unified approach to wildlife conservation, advocating for collaboration between government bodies, local communities, wildlife experts, hunters, and conservation organizations. He made these remarks during a ceremony organized by the Safari Club International Pakistan Chapter in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Gilani highlighted the potential for Pakistan to gain from international expertise while simultaneously sharing its own knowledge in wildlife management. He stressed that responsible and ethical hunting, if carried out legally and sustainably, could aid conservation efforts and provide significant benefits to local communities.

Gilani called for the development of transparent and practical policies that incorporate the perspectives of all stakeholders involved. He expressed optimism for enhanced international cooperation and support in safeguarding Pakistan’s wildlife and natural heritage.
