Islamabad, October 08, 2021 (PPI-OT):A prayer session was held at the office of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad (APHC-AJK) chapter in Islamabad, today, in memory of the martyrs of October 8, 2005 earthquake. Thousands of people were martyred, thousands were injured and many areas were destroyed by this horrific earthquake on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC), particularly in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The Hurriyat leaders on the occasion prayed for the martyrs of the October 8 earthquake.

They expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of sister of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League central leader, Haji Abdul Qudoos, and brother-in-law of JKPL leader Zahoor Ahmed Sheikh. The deceased had dedicated their entire life to the Kashmir freedom movement, they added.

Expressing heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved families, the Hurriyat leaders prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved families to bear the losses with patience.
