Islamabad, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference-Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter marked the 37th death anniversary of K H Khursheed, the former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, with high regard for his contributions and legacy.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK Convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar highlighted K H Khursheed’s remarkable attributes and accomplishments in a statement issued in Islamabad. Saghar reminisced about Khursheed’s tenure as the private secretary to Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founding father of Pakistan, praising his diplomatic efforts and dedication to the Kashmir cause. Khursheed’s relentless advocacy for the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in alignment with the local populace’s aspirations was emphasized as a testament to his commitment to the region’s struggle for self-determination.
The statement also touched upon Khursheed’s impact on the Kashmiri resistance movement, with APHC-AJK recognizing his enduring legacy in the fight for freedom and justice in the region.
In a concurrent note, the APHC-AJK extended its congratulations to Asif Ali Zardari on his recent inauguration as the President of Pakistan, expressing optimism for his tenure.
