1,147 Acres of Barren Land Made Cultivable in Awaran


Awaran: In a significant boost to local agriculture, 1,147 acres of previously barren land in the Jhal Jhao area of Awaran, Balochistan, have been transformed into cultivable farmland under the Green Pakistan Initiative. This development marks a pivotal step in regional agricultural advancement.



According to Radio Pakistan, the newly rehabilitated land is now being utilized for the cultivation of cotton, wheat, onion, vegetables, and fruits. The introduction of these crops is providing local farmers with employment, income, and fresh economic opportunities. The agricultural rehabilitation measures have been met with approval from the farming community, who view the initiative as a new hope for prosperity.
