Weather Forecast Predicts Rain and Snow in Northern PakistanIslamabad Capital Police Successfully Reunites Five Missing Individuals with Families

Gilgit Baltistan, Light to moderate rain and snow over the hills are forecasted for Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir regions from the night of 27th to 31st January. This weather pattern is expected to bring some respite to the dense foggy conditions that have been prevalent in the region.

According to National Weather Forecasting Centre – Islamabad, the areas of Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, Shigar in Gilgit-Baltistan, and Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur in Kashmir will experience this weather shift.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, similar conditions are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Manshera, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Bunner, Karak, Peshawar, Charsada, Nowshera, Swabi, Buner, Bajaur, Kurram, Waziristan, Bannu, and Kohat.

Islamabad and the Pothohar region in Punjab are also forecasted to receive light to moderate rain during the same period. Murree and Galliyat will experience light to moderate rain with snowfall over the hills, while cities like Gujranwala, Sialkot, Lahore, Narowal, Mandi Bahauddin, Mianwali, and Sargodha are expected to have rain on 30th and 31st January. Cold, dry, and foggy conditions are anticipated during night and morning hours in other parts of Punjab.

In Balochistan, light to moderate rain and snowfall over the hills are forecasted in Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Chamman, Barkhan, and the Makran coast on 28th and 29th January.

Meanwhile, most parts of Sindh are expected to experience cold and dry weather, with shallow to moderate foggy conditions in upper Sindh.

The forecasted snowfall may disrupt road travel in areas such as Murree, Galliyat, Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astore, Hunza, Skardu, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Poonch, and Haveli. Tourists in these regions are advised to remain cautious. The rainfall is expected to be beneficial for the standing crops in the Barani areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Islamabad, In a commendable effort, the Islamabad Capital Police successfully reunited five missing persons and children with their families as part of their Manadi program.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the initiative followed special instructions from Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. Committed to addressing the issue of missing individuals in the federal capital, the police used the Manadi program to disseminate information about missing persons and children across various media platforms.



Families and parents of the missing persons identified and contacted the police teams upon receiving the information. Subsequently, the police facilitated a safe reunion of these individuals with their families.



The efforts of the Islamabad Capital Police in this regard have been highly appreciated by the families, who expressed their gratitude for the prompt and effective assistance.



The police have also urged citizens to use the ‘Pucar-15’ service or the ‘ICT-15 App’ to report any suspicious persons or activities, emphasizing their commitment to protecting the lives and property of the community.
