The federal government is committed to the development of Balochistan, Federal Minister for Planning, all projects will be completed on priority basis, Ahsan Iqbal 

Islamabad, December 02, 2022 (PPI-OT):Federal Minister for Planning and Development and Special Initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal has said that the federal government is taking vigorous steps for the development of Balochistan and all development projects will be completed on a priority basis.

The federal minister expressed these views while presiding over a meeting with a 5-member delegation from Balochistan headed by the Minister of Health, Balochistan on Friday. Minister of Food Balochistan and Chief Secretary Balochistan also participated in the meeting.

On this occasion, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the recent steps taken by the federal government for the development of Balochistan and said that the federal government is taking vigorous steps for the development of Balochistan and projects worth billions of rupees have been approved by the federal government for Balochistan. Allocation of development projects to reduce the backwardness of the province.

He further said that the previous PTI government neglected the development projects of Balochistan province, which affected the development of the province badly. It should be noted that since the current government came to power in April this year, the development of Balochistan has been the top priority, especially after the recent disastrous floods that have badly affected the province, the federal government has given the federal government for the development of Balochistan. A number of projects were also sanctioned from the funds which were badly affected by the recent floods.

On this occasion, the federal minister further said that for the first time in 2016, the Muslim League (N) government launched a multidimensional poverty index at the district level for the development of Balochistan, but unfortunately, after the PTI government came to power, it No progress could be made, but the present government has allocated 40 billion rupees for the development of 20 backward districts, out of which 11 districts belong to Balochistan.

Furthermore, the Federal Minister said that special measures have also been taken for the youth of Balochistan under the recently launched PM Youth Initiatives. The provincial ministers appreciated the efforts of Planning Minister Professor Ahsan Iqbal for taking special interest in the development of Balochistan.
