Strict Security Measures Enforced Across Islamabad for Eid-ul-Adha

Islamabad: A comprehensive security plan was implemented across Islamabad during Eid-ul-Adha, with Deputy Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, actively supervising the operations to ensure public safety. Tariq was present in the field, engaging with officers stationed at checkpoints and recreational areas to fortify the security framework and ensure the well-being of citizens.

Under the strategic security plan, stringent measures were put in place across the city, and the adherence to these measures resulted in a peaceful celebration without any incidents. Security checkpoints were established at all entry and exit points of the city, and actions were taken against individuals involved in unlawful activities such as one-wheeling and hooliganism.

The plan also designated city parks, including Daman-e-Koh and Lake View Park, exclusively for families, prohibiting entry to individuals not accompanied by families. This approach aimed to provide a secure environment for families during the festive period and was part of a broader effort to maintain order and safety in public spaces.

Senior police officials, including SSPs, SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs, were also actively present in the field to support the security operations. The police force, described by DIG Tariq as the “real heroes,” stood vigilantly in challenging conditions to uphold peace and safety.

The Islamabad Police’s dedication and effective management during Eid-ul-Adha were acknowledged and appreciated by the citizens, with the department pledging to continue its commitment to public safety with the same level of dedication in the future.
