PM Shehbaz Sharif Commits to Economic Growth and Regional Stability


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has affirmed his dedication to advancing the country’s economic growth, emphasizing the importance of collective progress on the economic front. At a federal cabinet meeting held in Islamabad on Tuesday, where budgetary proposals for the upcoming fiscal year were reviewed, Sharif expressed satisfaction with current economic indicators, noting growth in exports, including the IT sector, and a significant increase in remittances.



Sharif highlighted Pakistan’s past success in conventional warfare against India and stressed the need to move forward cohesively to strengthen the economy. He also asserted that India would not be permitted to disrupt water flow to Pakistan.



The Prime Minister lauded the finance ministry and other relevant departments for their roles in formulating the budget. He acknowledged the tax burdens faced by the salaried class, indicating a recognition of the challenges endured by citizens.



In a show of international solidarity, Sharif expressed support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine. He called on the global community to leverage its influence to achieve a ceasefire in Palestine. Acknowledging the sacrifices made by Palestinians and Kashmiris, Sharif voiced confidence in their eventual liberation from oppressive regimes.
