Special Tax Scheme for Small Shopkeepers Begins Initial Implementation in Islamabad

Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that the Special Tax Scheme for Small Shopkeepers is in its initial implementation phase, with the Board actively working to address any issues arising from the registration process.

According to Press Information Department, the Government of Pakistan and the FBR are maintaining regular communication with traders, market representatives, and trade bodies to ensure the scheme is implemented smoothly and transparently. Feedback from the business community is being considered, and efforts are being made to resolve difficulties faced by traders.

The FBR has advised traders experiencing technical issues during registration to contact the FBR directly for assistance. The Board is committed to facilitating eligible traders in completing the registration process.

The Government believes that the Special Tax Scheme offers small shopkeepers an opportunity to join the documented tax system through a simplified framework. The scheme aims to encourage voluntary compliance and provide greater certainty for small traders.

The FBR is confident that with the cooperation of the trading community and trade bodies, the scheme will achieve its objectives and become a successful initiative for the business community.
