Islamabad: The Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Emin Ohodarevi, met with Federal Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Mr. Shahid Iqbal Baloch, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in science, technology, and innovation.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to expanding science and technology partnerships. The Federal Secretary highlighted the significance of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed earlier this year between the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the National Metrology Institute of Pakistan (NMIP). This agreement aims to bolster institutional linkages and technical cooperation.

During the discussions, the Ambassador presented a roadmap from the Bosnian side to advance cooperation under the MoU. Both parties explored mutual interests, including metrology, capacity building, exchange of experts, and technical collaboration. They discussed translating existing understandings into practical initiatives that would benefit both nations.

The Federal Secretary assured the Ambassador of MoST’s support in implementing the MoU and achieving tangible results. He mentioned that the Ministry would review the proposed roadmap and work with NMIP to identify effective implementation strategies for the agreed areas of cooperation.

The Ambassador expressed appreciation for the reception and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s interest in deepening cooperation with Pakistan in science, technology, and innovation. Both parties agreed to maintain close coordination to ensure timely progress and implementation of the cooperation activities.
