Islamabad, July 21, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Special Committee on Arms Licenses met this afternoon in Parliament House, Islamabad under the Chairmanship of Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, MNA to discuss the problems faced by the citizens in obtaining the Arms Licenses.

The Special Committee expressed strong displeasure over the lenient attitude of the M/o Interior towards affairs of the Special Committee as they failed to comply with the directions of the Special Committee despite repeated directions. The Special Committee took serious notice over the delaying tactics being used by the M/o Interior in issuing of Arms licenses of the Parliamentarians already approved by the Honourable Federal Minister for Interior.

The Committee therefore, directed that M/o Interior to issue all Arms licenses before 24th July, 2023 and report back to the Special Committee failing which the Special Committee would initiate strict action against them. The Committee decided to convene its next meeting on 24th July, 2023 at 4.00 p.m. in Parliament House, Islamabad.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Zahid Akram Durrani, Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti, Mr. Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhary, Mr. Mohsin Dawar, Sardar Riaz Mehmood Khan Mazari.
