Deputy Chairman Senate Advocates for Enhanced NADRA Services in Balochistan


ISLAMABAD: Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan held a significant meeting with Chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar, to discuss matters pertaining to institutional performance and public service delivery.



According to Senate of Pakistan, the meeting focused on NADRA’s ongoing projects, digital reforms, and improvements in the registration system. The Deputy Chairman Senate acknowledged NADRA’s performance, highlighting the organization’s use of modern technology to enhance public services. Additionally, Syedal Khan commended the leadership qualities of the Chairman NADRA, noting the international recognition NADRA has received under his leadership, including securing global contracts.



A key issue raised by the Deputy Chairman Senate was the difficulty faced by residents of Balochistan in obtaining identity cards. He pointed out the challenges encountered by citizens in remote and underdeveloped areas during the registration process, underscoring the need for immediate measures to address these issues.



Syedal Khan called for strengthening NADRA’s registration centers in Balochistan and other remote regions, expanding mobile registration services, and ensuring maximum public facilitation to provide timely access to identity documents for all citizens. He further stressed the importance of continuing to utilize modern technology to make NADRA’s services more efficient and accessible, with particular attention to vulnerable societal segments.



Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to joint efforts aimed at improving public service delivery and enhancing institutional performance.
