Islamabad, June 26, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference organized a seminar at its office in Islamabad today to express solidarity with the victims of torture and violence, perpetrated by Indian troops in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The seminar was chaired by APHC-AJK Convenor Mahmood Ahmed Saghar. Addressing the event, he said that today, when International Day in Support of Victims of Torture is being observed across the world, India continues to use violence as a state policy in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Other speakers said that India is systematically using violence to crush the movement for self-determination of Kashmiris, but it will never succeed in its nefarious intentions. Speakers said that International Day of Support for Victims of Torture has no meaning for Kashmiris as they are constantly facing various forms of violence at the hands of Indian troops. Indian Army has set up several torture centers in occupied Jammu and Kashmir where Kashmiris are subjected to brutal torture and thousands of Kashmiris have lost their lives in the notorious torture centers.
Those who addressed and participated in the seminar included Ghulam Mohammad Safi, Mohammad Farooq Rahmani, Sheikh Abdul Maeen, Imtiaz Wani, Mohammad Rafiq Dar, Nisar Mirza, Mir Tahir Masood, Raja Khadim Hussain, Mohammad Shafi Dar, Javed Iqbal Butt, Dawood Yousafzai, Sheikh Abdul Majeed, Gulshan Ahmed, Syed Ejaz Rahmani, Manzoor Ahmed Dar, Abdul Majeed Lone, Muhammad Ashraf Dar, Zahid Ashraf, Khurshid Ahmed Mir, Shaukat Hussain Butt, Kifayat Hussain Rizvi and Nazir Ahmed Karnai.
