IGP Islamabad Reviews Progress on Police Reforms and Public Service Initiatives

Islamabad: Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has conducted a comprehensive review of the police department’s performance, focusing on public service delivery, professional training, and police welfare. According to Islamabad Capital Police, IGP Rizvi chaired meetings attended by key police officials, including DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar and AIG Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani, among others.

During these meetings, IGP Rizvi assessed the progress on targets given to officers, emphasizing the need for aligning public service systems with modern standards. He issued directives to improve the effectiveness of public facilitation centers, ensure timely service delivery, and promote courteous behavior toward citizens. He also highlighted the importance of continuous professional training and expanding welfare measures for police personnel to enhance their performance.

IGP Rizvi reiterated the police’s responsibility to safeguard citizens’ lives and property, calling for honesty, dedication, and teamwork to improve institutional performance. He advocated for adopting modern technology, resolving complaints promptly, and strengthening accountability. Maintaining public trust was underscored as crucial, with a focus on transparency, merit, and the rule of law.
