ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have apprehended 14 individuals suspected of involvement in various criminal activities, recovering drugs and weapons in the process. The arrests followed a coordinated effort by multiple police station teams across the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, teams from the Lohi Bher, Aabpara, Shalimar, Sumbal, Khanna, Humak, and Bani Gala police stations detained 11 suspects linked to criminal activities. The operations led to the seizure of two stolen motorcycles, 520 grams of hashish, 450 grams of heroin, 17 bottles of liquor, and eight pistols with ammunition. Official cases have been filed, and investigations are underway.
In a separate campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams successfully arrested three more individuals. This initiative is part of a broader strategy directed by IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to combat crime and maintain order in the city.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police force’s commitment to safeguarding residents and maintaining public peace. He reiterated that the safety of citizens and the protection of their property are the force’s primary concerns.
The Islamabad Police also urged citizens to report suspicious activities to local stations or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” highlighting the importance of cooperation between the public and police to eliminate crime.
