Sergey Lavrov Praises Pakistan’s Role in Facilitating Iran-US Dialogue


ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar engaged in a telephonic conversation with Sergey Lavrov, the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, to discuss bilateral relations and multilateral cooperation. The conversation highlighted Pakistan’s assistance in facilitating discussions between Iran and the United States, earning praise from Lavrov.



According to Radio Pakistan, Sergey Lavrov expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s constructive involvement in the diplomatic engagement between Tehran and Washington. Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to fostering dialogue and diplomacy as tools for resolving international issues.



The discussion also touched on the importance of maintaining regular high-level interactions, with both leaders agreeing to reschedule Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Russia at a mutually agreeable time. Additionally, an invitation was extended to Sergey Lavrov to visit Pakistan, with both parties agreeing to continue their communication.
