Sindh Police Health Insurance Policy Approved, Training for Welfare Officers Begins

Karachi: A significant meeting convened by IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon discussed the newly approved Sindh Police Health Insurance Policy at the Central Police Office in Karachi. The meeting saw the participation of various high-ranking officials both in-person and via video link, marking a pivotal step in enhancing healthcare benefits for police personnel across the region.

According to Sindh Police, DIG Finance provided updates on the progress of the Sindh Police Health Insurance Policy, announcing its recent approval by the Sindh Cabinet. He disclosed that the Sindh Finance Department is set to release funds for the policy shortly. Additionally, the process of issuing health cards to all police employees by the designated insurance company is underway, with assistance from NADRA to verify the family trees of the personnel.

The meeting also addressed the commencement of training for welfare officers stationed at hospitals. These officers are being trained on the utilization and benefits of the new health insurance facilities starting today, which is expected to streamline the process and enhance the service delivery to the police staff and their families.

IG Sindh highlighted the need for increased awareness of the health insurance policy among police officers. He emphasized the necessity for district and unit officers to actively engage in informing police personnel and their families about how to access and use these health benefits effectively. Moreover, there is an ongoing initiative to upgrade police hospitals and dispensaries to better serve the personnel and mitigate their financial hardships.

This comprehensive healthcare initiative by the Sindh Police aims to provide substantial support to its employees, ensuring they receive the necessary medical attention and benefits through an organized and efficient health insurance system.
