Sindh Governor Visits Shah Faisal Colony, Addresses Local Issues and Advocates for Change


Karachi, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori visited Shah Faisal Colony, making stops at the Shama Shopping Center and Silk Bazaar, where he was warmly received by the locals and shopkeepers.



According to Sindh Governor House, during his visit, Governor Tesori interacted with the community, even sharing tea with them. In a media address, he discussed various local issues, highlighting the transformation of Karachi from an economic hub to a city plagued by crime. He mentioned receiving numerous requests to remove the motorcycle installation at the Governor’s House and spoke about his experiences during Ramadan, where he facilitated iftar for numerous people.



The Governor also touched upon the state of healthcare in the city, citing an incident at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital that highlighted the need for improvements. He suggested renaming the hospital to simply “Shaheed Hospital” to honor all martyrs.



Emphasizing his approach to governance, Tesori stated he takes pride in serving on the basis of humanity rather than nationality. He acknowledged the love and prayers he received from the people and expressed his disregard for threats against his position, emphasizing the importance of connecting with citizens.



Governor Tesori addressed the aspirations of the people to transform Karachi, comparing it to cities like Paris. He stressed the importance of questioning the use of tax money and advocating for fundamental services like electricity, water, gas, education, and healthcare. He proposed more frequent elections as a way to hold representatives accountable and ensure continuous focus on public service.



His visit and statements reflect a commitment to addressing Karachi’s challenges and engaging directly with its residents to foster a positive change in the city.
