Karachi: Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesuri, paid tribute to the family of Pilot Shaheed Rashid Minhas (Nishan Haider), expressing deep respect for the martyr’s contribution to the nation. During his visit to the Minhas residence, the Governor lauded the heroic efforts of Rashid Minhas, who died defending Pakistan, and declared the families of martyrs as national treasures.
According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesuri highlighted the significance of the sacrifices made by the families of martyrs, saying that serving them was his honor. “I salute the brave children of the nation,” he stated, during his interaction with Minhas’s family and the media. The Governor’s visit marks the first by a sitting governor to the Minhas household, where he was told by Minhas’s brother, “You are the first Governor who has come to our house.”
The late pilot, recognized as a proud son of the nation, was commended for thwarting enemy plans and sacrificing his life, thereby setting an example for the youth. Governor Tesuri also acknowledged the efforts of the Pakistan Air Force in training individuals who defend the country’s airspace with utmost bravery. Furthermore, he mentioned the ongoing efforts by the Prime Minister and the Army Chief to stabilize Pakistan’s economy through the SIFC plan, aiming for economic resilience.
The ceremony included a visit to Rashid Minhas’s grave, where Governor Tesuri laid flowers and recited Fatiha, honoring his memory and valor.
