SIFC Backs Economic Initiatives in Azad Jammu & Kashmir

Muzaffarabad: The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is supporting Azad Jammu & Kashmir’s efforts to attract investment, promote industrial activity, and create new employment opportunities through targeted facilitation measures.

According to Press Information Department, during a high-level meeting in Muzaffarabad chaired by Prime Minister AJK Iftikhar Gilani, SIFC Secretary Jameel Qureshi briefed the Prime Minister on the Easy Business initiative and the proposed Special Economic Zone in AJK.

The Easy Business initiative aims to facilitate young people by providing access to loans on easier terms, enabling them to establish and expand businesses. Meanwhile, the proposed Special Economic Zone is expected to facilitate investors, utilize local resources for economic development, and support industrial growth and employment generation.

The meeting reflects SIFC’s facilitation-focused role in supporting investment-led development by bringing together relevant stakeholders and advancing initiatives that can unlock AJK’s economic potential.

With investment, industrialization, entrepreneurship, and employment at the center of AJK’s economic agenda, SIFC’s engagement provides an important platform for translating these priorities into practical investment and development opportunities.
