Islamabad: Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani emphasized the importance of women’s leadership in climate change solutions during a reception for the Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development. He highlighted that empowering women leads to more innovative and inclusive strategies in environmental conservation and sustainability.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Chairman Gilani noted the disproportionate impact of climate change on women and marginalized communities, including rising temperatures and erratic weather patterns. He stressed the need for responses to these challenges to be inclusive, equitable, and transformative, underscoring the vital role that women must play in these efforts.
