Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: In a series of coordinated operations over two days, security forces successfully neutralized thirty militants in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, marking a significant blow to insurgent activities in the region.
According to a statement by Inter Services Public Relations, the operations were based on intelligence reports indicating the presence of militants. In District Lakki Marwat, an operation led to the deaths of eighteen militants and injuries to six others following an effective engagement by the troops.
A separate operation in District Karak resulted in the neutralization of eight militants. Security forces engaged in a fire exchange, which left no casualties among the forces.
In a third encounter in the general area of Bagh, Khyber District, four militants were neutralized, including key figures Aziz ur Rehman, known as Qari Ismail, and Mukhlis. Two additional militants were injured in this operation.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants, who had been involved in various terrorist activities targeting security forces and civilians. Sanitization operations are ongoing to ensure the area is cleared of any remaining threats, as the security forces remain committed to eradicating terrorism from the region.
