Islamabad: A new Command, Control, Communication, and Coordination Center has been inaugurated at the Islamabad Police Central Police Office, aiming to enhance technology-driven policing and streamline operations across the city’s police units.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the center is designed to offer Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi a centralized platform for efficient monitoring and command of the Islamabad Police’s operational systems, including the Safe City project and field force activities. This initiative seeks to integrate information and operational tasks of various police units through a unified command structure.

The center employs advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, facial recognition, automatic number plate recognition, crime analysis, geographic information systems, and emergency response systems. These tools are expected to aid in crime prevention, field force oversight, and timely police responses.

The facility will allow real-time monitoring and rapid decision-making during emergencies or security situations. IGP Rizvi will have the capability to oversee city-wide operations from his office, enabling him to issue prompt directives to officers.

This centralized platform is also expected to bolster communication and coordination among police units, facilitating swift mobilization and resource allocation in response to incidents. Additionally, it will enhance monitoring of field force activities, thereby improving command, control, and accountability systems.

The establishment of this center is a significant step towards transforming Islamabad Police into a modern, data-driven force. IGP Rizvi has emphasized the importance of leveraging modern technology and resources to protect citizens, enhance police performance, and maintain law and order in Islamabad.
