Islamabad: Security forces have successfully eliminated 11 terrorists during intelligence-based operations in the regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The operations targeted militants from the groups Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan, according to a recent press release.
According to Radio Pakistan, the operations were conducted in multiple locations, including Bannu, South Waziristan, and the Sasool area of Khuzdar district. In Bannu, security forces killed two terrorists and seized weapons and ammunition. In South Waziristan’s Ladha area, five members of the Khawarij group were neutralized. Meanwhile, in Khuzdar district, four terrorists associated with Fitna al-Hindustan were targeted with the aid of quadcopters.
In separate statements, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their successful operations. They highlighted the necessity of eliminating foreign-backed terrorist elements for the sake of national security and peace. The leaders emphasized the nation’s pride in the security forces’ professional capabilities and achievements, reaffirming their commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country.
