Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Alexei Overchuk, has arrived in Islamabad today for a significant two-day visit aimed at enhancing bilateral relations between Russia and Pakistan. The visit includes high-level discussions with Pakistan’s top political figures.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Deputy Prime Minister Overchuk is accompanied by a high-level delegation and is scheduled to meet with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar during his visit. These meetings are poised to discuss and further the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing the strong foundation of goodwill, amity, and trust that characterizes the bilateral relationship.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch highlighted in a statement that the interactions between Pakistan and Russia reflect a robust partnership built on mutual interests and cooperative endeavors across various sectors.
