Punjab Police Allocates Funds for Medical Treatment of Injured Officers

Lahore: The Punjab Police has announced the release of additional funds to cover medical expenses for officers injured in the line of duty. Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the best possible medical care for these personnel, with a recent allocation of approximately Rs. 3.5 million distributed among injured officers from various districts, including Lahore.

According to a statement by Punjab Police, the funds have been allocated by the Compensation Award Committee, chaired by Additional IG Welfare Imran Irshad. The distribution includes Rs. 1 million for Constable Shahmir Khan, Rs. 500,000 each for Constable Arsalan Irshad, ASI Muhammad Ashraf, and Constable Ghulam Abbas, Rs. 300,000 for Constable Kashif Elahi, and Rs. 250,000 for Constable Naveed Iqbal.

The injured officers sustained injuries during various incidents while on duty. Dr. Anwar emphasized that the health and rehabilitation of these officers remain a top priority for the Punjab Police. He instructed supervisory officers to ensure the utmost care for the well-being of the injured personnel, underscoring the department’s commitment to their welfare.
