LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s anti-corruption initiative led to a late-night surprise inspection at Bahawal Victoria Hospital in Bahawalpur, where officials discovered instances of overcharging at the hospital’s parking facility.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team found that the parking contractor was charging patients and their attendants more than the authorized rates. As a result of the findings, authorities arrested the contractor on the spot. This action underscores the provincial government’s ongoing efforts to tackle corruption and ensure fair practices in public services.
