Quetta: On the occasion of Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day, Provincial Irrigation Minister and member of the Pakistan People’s Party Central Committee, Mir Muhammad Sadiq Imrani, delivered a message highlighting the importance of unity, development, and democratic values. He urged the nation to remember the sacrifices made for freedom and to redouble efforts towards the country’s development.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Minister Imrani emphasized the significance of Independence Day as a reminder of the sacrifices that paved the way for Pakistan’s freedom 77 years ago. He called for renewed dedication to making Pakistan a “fortress of Islam” as envisioned by the country’s founders. Imrani acknowledged the current political, social, and economic challenges at both the internal and external levels, suggesting that overcoming these requires rising above political expediency to foster peace and democratic values.

Highlighting the contributions of the Pakistan People’s Party, Imrani noted that the party’s leaders and workers have historically sacrificed for the nation’s prosperity and the sustenance of democracy, from the martyrdom of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto to the struggles faced by its members. He reiterated the party’s commitment to democratic politics as a means to improve the lives of the poor and develop the country.

Minister Imrani concluded his message with well-wishes for all Pakistanis on Independence Day and a prayer for the nation’s protection from adversities.
