Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in a message marking Pakistan Air Force Day on September 7, 2026, commended the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for its noteworthy performance throughout its history.
According to Press Information Department, the Prime Minister highlighted the PAF’s professional capability and its historical dominance in aerial conflicts. Sharif praised the PAF’s sacrifice and professionalism, noting how the force has consistently responded with courage when called upon by the nation. He recalled the events of September 1965, when PAF aviators successfully defended Pakistan’s aerial frontiers, paying tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the country.
Sharif also referenced the events of May 2025, when the PAF, working alongside Sister Services, successfully defeated an adversary during the confrontation known as Marka-e-Haq. The Prime Minister attributed this success to the bold leadership, tactical brilliance, and strategic planning of the PAF, which has modernized its capabilities through a comprehensive strategy.
The Prime Minister expressed his wishes for the continued success and progress of the PAF, affirming confidence in the force’s ability to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty and aerial frontiers.
