President Zardari Extends Congratulations to Brazil on Independence Day


Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has conveyed his warmest greetings to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the government, and the people of Brazil on their Independence Day, emphasizing the strong bilateral ties and potential for enhanced cooperation between the two countries.



According to Press Information Department, President Zardari highlighted the significance of the relationship between Pakistan and Brazil, which is built on mutual respect, shared interests, and collaboration at international forums. He noted that both countries, as significant members of the Global South, have ample opportunities to strengthen their partnership, particularly in areas such as trade, investment, agriculture, renewable energy, and education.



President Zardari also acknowledged President Lula’s commitment to advocating for a rules-based international order and emphasized the importance of Brazil’s role in promoting dialogue, sustainable development, and cooperation among developing nations. He reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to working with Brazil to advance common goals of peace and prosperity.



The President expressed optimism about the future of Pakistan-Brazil relations, anticipating a deepening friendship and collaboration in the coming years.
