Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his sorrow over the passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, sibling of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai. In his statement, the Prime Minister reflected on Sheikh Ahmed’s dedication to serving both Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.

According to Radio Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum devoted his life to service with honour. The Prime Minister acknowledged his contributions and expressed Pakistan’s appreciation for Sheikh Ahmed’s valuable services. He offered condolences to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Al Maktoum family, and the citizens of the United Arab Emirates.

Prime Minister Sharif also prayed for Allah Almighty to grant the departed soul a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and provide strength to the bereaved family during this time of loss. Additionally, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar conveyed his grief over Sheikh Ahmed’s passing in a post on the social media platform X.
