According to Press Information Department, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of cultural heritage, noting that it embodies social diversity and reflects both the past and present, laying a foundation for the future. Pakistan’s cultural heritage is noted for its diverse civilization, showcasing the legacy of some of the world’s oldest societies and representing a tapestry of human creativity.

The government recognizes the value of cultural heritage for national development and international relations. Efforts are being made to include traditional sites in UNESCO’s heritage lists, and investments are being directed towards digital platforms to document and preserve heritage. These efforts aim to promote cultural diplomacy, boost tourism, and connect with younger generations.

Challenges such as climate change and the erosion of traditional knowledge pose threats to cultural heritage. The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of collective efforts from the government, communities, academic institutions, and civil society to ensure the safe transmission of heritage to future generations.
