Prime Minister Sharif and King Hamad Discuss Regional Peace Amid Eid Festivities


Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephone conversation with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. The call focused on exchanging festive greetings and discussing pressing regional issues.



According to Press Information Department, during the conversation, Prime Minister Sharif extended Eid greetings to both King Hamad and the people of Bahrain. In return, King Hamad expressed similar sentiments. The dialogue also included prayers for unity and harmony across the Muslim community.



Prime Minister Sharif condemned recent hostilities in the region, notably the attacks on Bahrain, and expressed condolences for the lives lost. He praised Bahrain’s restraint in response to these incidents and reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Bahrain. Furthermore, Sharif briefed King Hamad on Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives to restore peace, assuring continued support for efforts to resolve regional conflicts.



The leaders concluded the call by agreeing to maintain communication on matters of mutual interest, both bilateral and regional.
