Islamabad: The Prime Minister of the Azad Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, convened with Professor Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of the Higher Education Commission, at Jammu and Kashmir House. The key focus of the meeting was the examination of financial and administrative challenges faced by universities in Azad Kashmir.
According to Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the discussions highlighted the ongoing efforts of the Higher Education Commission under the leadership of Professor Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed in addressing the financial difficulties and other significant issues affecting the operational capabilities of Azad Kashmir’s universities. Minister for Local Government, Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, also partook in the deliberations, underscoring the government’s commitment to educational development.
The Prime Minister appreciated the role of the Higher Education Commission in ensuring that the universities in Azad Kashmir remain functional and continue to deliver quality education. He stressed the importance of education in fostering self-reliance among students and contributing to the national development.
On his part, Professor Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed reassured the Prime Minister that the Higher Education Commission will take all necessary measures to tackle the financial and administrative challenges currently confronting the universities in Azad Kashmir.
