Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Chairs Meeting to Enhance University Standards

Muzaffarabad: A significant meeting was convened by Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq of the Azad Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir to discuss the future development of Azad Jammu and Kashmir University. The meeting saw the participation of key government and university officials, who deliberated on various strategies to improve the institution’s standards and resolve its financial challenges.

According to Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the session included notable figures such as Minister for Higher Education Malik Zafar Iqbal, Advisor to the President Sardar Imtiaz Ahmad, Chief Secretary Daud Muhammad Bareech, Secretary to the President Muhammad Idrees Abbasi, Secretary Higher Education Chaudhry Muhammad Tayyab, and Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi. Secretary Finance Islam Zaib Khan also participated via video link.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Haq emphasized the government’s commitment to taking all necessary measures to elevate the university’s standing. He highlighted the importance of resolving financial issues as a priority and stressed the need for strengthening institutional frameworks to enable the university to serve as a model of excellence.
