ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised the significant contributions of Pakistan’s minority communities towards the nation’s development, emphasizing the importance of their role in fostering peace and harmony. Speaking at a ceremony held at the Prime Minister’s Office to commemorate National Minorities Day, Sharif called for leveraging this spirit to ensure continued growth and progress as a nation.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister underscored the need for greater investment in modern education and skill development, particularly in the health and education sectors, to empower the youth. He highlighted the peaceful coexistence of minority communities, including Christians, Hindus, Parsis, and Sikhs, and their active participation in building a cohesive society.

Prime Minister Sharif also acknowledged the historical contributions of minority communities, noting their collaboration with Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah during the creation of Pakistan. He paid tribute to notable figures such as Jogendra Nath Mandal and Cecil Chaudhry and recognized the vital role minority communities played in defending the nation during times of war.
