Islamabad: A recent private trip abroad by President Asif Ali Zardari was fully funded out of his own pocket, according to a statement from the Spokesperson to the President. The visit, which sparked media interest, was clarified as an entirely private undertaking with no public funds involved.
According to Press Information Department, all costs associated with the trip, including the charter of an aircraft, crew expenses, parking, and stay, were personally covered by President Zardari. The clarification comes amid scrutiny in media reports about the nature of the President’s travel and the funding source for such visits.
